Commerce Health 1.5.0
Store activity figures, a store health email, an orders-gone-quiet warning and a manual Test order tool.

1.5.0
- Added: Store activity on the Overview screen and in the Dashboard widget: orders, revenue, average order and failed payments for the last 7 days, compared with the 7 days before. It reads order counts, totals and dates only, never customer details, and test orders are never counted. Revenue is summed from up to 1,000 orders per week; a busier store shows order counts and a dash for revenue.
- Added: a store health email with your latest scan result, your store figures and a reminder to scan. Choose daily, weekly (the default) or monthly under Settings, or turn it off. Send me this report now sends one straight away. The email does not run a scan by itself, and it is switched off when the PRO add-on is active, because PRO sends its own weekly summary.
- Added: an orders-gone-quiet warning. A steady store (at least 14 orders in the week before its last order) that has no orders for 5 times its usual gap between orders, and never less than 12 hours, shows a warning on the Overview screen and gets one email, then another when orders return. It reads order dates once a day, so the email can arrive up to a day after orders stop, and it can be turned off in Settings. It keeps working when PRO is active. It is not a 35th check: the plugin still has 34.
- Added: Test order. On the new Commerce Health → Test order screen you create a private, hidden, virtual test product and place one clearly marked, cancelled test order through your real checkout, block or classic, to see that the basic checkout flow works. Administrators only, and only when you press the button. It does not test your real payment methods, shipping, tax or coupons. While it runs, the site’s emails are blocked and WooCommerce webhooks are held back. Test orders stay in WooCommerce until you press Delete all test orders. See Test order in the free plugin and What test orders do to your store.
- Changed: the “read-only” wording now says that the 34 diagnostics are read-only, and that the Test order tool creates an order only when you press its button.
After you update
- Expect a weekly email. The store health email is on by default, weekly. To change how often it comes, or turn it off, open Settings.
- Your health score does not change. The store figures, the emails and the warning are not diagnostics and do not affect the score.
- With PRO installed, the store health email stands down and PRO’s weekly summary is used. The orders-gone-quiet warning keeps running. PRO test orders need this version or newer. See Commerce Health PRO 1.2.0.
