Store health email

The regular email with your latest scan result, your store figures and a reminder to scan: what it contains, when it is sent and how to change it.

The store health email is a regular reminder with your latest scan result, your store figures for the last 7 days and a button to scan your store. It does not run a scan by itself.

What is in it

  • Your health score and status (Healthy, Attention, Unhealthy or Critical), and the date of the latest scan. If you have never scanned, it says so.
  • The number of critical issues and warnings, and a short list of what needs your attention.
  • Your store, last 7 days: orders, revenue, average order and failed payments, compared with the 7 days before. A store with no orders in the last 14 days sees “No orders in the last 14 days.” See Store activity.
  • If the last scan is 7 or more days old, a note that says how old it is and asks you to run a new scan.
  • If the store has gone quiet, an amber notice. See Orders-gone-quiet warning.
  • A Scan your store button that opens the Overview screen.

The subject is “[Your site] Your store health report”.

When it is sent

Open Commerce Health → Settings → Store health email and choose How often:

Choice Sent
Daily Every day at 8:00 site time. It is skipped when you scanned in the last 20 hours, since there is nothing to remind you about.
Weekly (default) Every Monday at 8:00 site time.
Monthly On the 1st of the month at 8:00 site time.
Off Never.

Changing the choice takes effect when you save. Emails are sent by WordPress’s background scheduler, so they go out the next time the site is visited after 8:00, and they need a working email setup. See Why didn’t I receive an issue email?

Send one now

Press Send me this report now on the Settings screen. It sends the email straight away and tells you who it went to.

Who receives it

The alert recipients: the To addresses, with the CC addresses copied. Set them under Commerce Health → Settings → Alert recipients. With none set, it goes to the site admin email.

With PRO

When PRO is active, this email is turned off, and Settings says so. PRO sends its own weekly summary instead. If you deactivate PRO, the store health email starts again with the frequency you had chosen.
