PRO Features

Continuous Diagnostics

Automatically re-run every diagnostic check in the background, on a schedule you choose.

The free plugin scans only when you click Scan store. With PRO, Continuous Diagnostics re-runs the same full scan automatically, so a new problem (say, WooCommerce being deactivated) doesn’t go unnoticed between manual scans.

Choose how often

  1. Open Commerce Health → PRO settings.
  2. In the Continuous Diagnostics section, pick a Scan frequency: every 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes, every hour, every 5 hours, every 10 hours, every 24 hours, or Custom (a number of minutes from 1 to 43,200, which is 30 days).
  3. Click Save scan frequency.

The default is every 15 minutes. The screen shows when the last automatic scan ran and when the next is due.

The 5-minute tickAutomatic scans are checked on PRO’s 5-minute background schedule, so the shortest effective interval is 5 minutes, even if you enter a smaller custom value.

How it behaves

  • It runs the same scan as Scan store: every free check, plus PRO’s three extra checks.
  • It never starts a scan while another one is still running, so a slow scan is not stacked on top of itself. That run is simply skipped and tried at the next opportunity.
  • It is the free plugin’s own scan. A new critical finding sends the free plugin’s email (in PRO’s design), and new findings of other severities are emailed according to the Issue Emails setting.
  • It only runs while your license is active. Deactivating the license stops it immediately, and the free plugin keeps working.

What it cannot do

  • It depends on WordPress background tasks (cron). If they don’t run, neither do automatic scans. See How PRO monitoring runs and what it stores.
  • It checks configuration, not live behaviour. It can tell you a gateway is enabled; it can’t tell you the gateway is working.
