Issues and their lifecycle
How findings become persistent issues, and what Detected, Active, Resolved and Reopened mean.
On this page
A finding that appears in several scans is tracked as one issue, so you aren’t told about the same problem as if it were new every time.
The four statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Detected | The issue was found for the first time. |
| Active | It is still present in later scans. |
| Resolved | A later scan confirmed the problem is gone. |
| Reopened | A resolved issue came back. |
What this means for you
- Fixing something isn’t enough on its own: run Scan store again so the issue can be confirmed and resolved.
- If a critical issue is newly found or reopened, Commerce Health can email you. With PRO, issues of other severities can email you too. See Issue email alerts.
- Scan history cleanup never removes active issues. See Settings.
