Monitoring shows “delayed” or “waiting”

What to check when the Overview says monitoring is delayed or has not started.

What the banner means

“Monitoring is starting” (waiting) means the first 5-minute check hasn’t run yet. “Monitoring is delayed” means the last check ran more than 20 minutes ago, so new problems are not being raised right now.

Check these in order

  1. Wait about 10 minutes and refresh. A fresh install, or the first visit after a quiet spell, can start late.
  2. Is the license active? Open Commerce Health → PRO license. Without an active license PRO doesn’t run monitoring.
  3. Is WooCommerce active? The free plugin, PRO and WooCommerce (Action Scheduler) must be active.
  4. Are WordPress background tasks running? Monitoring depends on WP-Cron. If your host disables it, make sure a real server cron job calls wp-cron.php every few minutes. A site with very little traffic may also run background tasks late.
  5. Look at Tools → Scheduled Actions (or WooCommerce → Status → Scheduled Actions) for the kodenzo_ch_pro_run_monitors action. Failed or overdue entries point at the cause.

Good to know

  • While monitoring is delayed, the dashboard shows the last known state. It may look calm even though PRO hasn’t checked.
  • Your payment and plugin events are still recorded as they happen. Issues are raised once the checks run again.

Still stuck? Contact support and tell us your host, and what the Scheduled Actions screen shows.
