Monitoring status and the activity feed
What the Overview’s monitoring banner, 24-hour tiles and activity list show, and how to read them.
On this page
The top of the PRO Overview screen shows that monitoring is really running, and what it has done.
The monitoring banner
| Banner | What it means |
|---|---|
| Monitoring is starting | PRO has not run its first check yet. It runs within about 5 minutes. |
| Monitoring started … ago | PRO has been running for less than 24 hours and is still learning your normal checkout patterns. |
| Monitoring is active | The last check was within the last 20 minutes. It also shows when the last check ran and when the next one is expected (every 5 minutes). |
| Monitoring is delayed | The last check ran more than 20 minutes ago. Recent changes may not be reflected. This usually means WordPress background tasks (cron) are not running. |
See Monitoring shows “delayed” or “waiting” if you see the last two states for long.
The four 24-hour tiles
| Tile | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Monitoring cycles | How many background checks ran in the last 24 hours. At one every 5 minutes this is up to 288. |
| Checks completed | The total number of individual checks finished by all completed scans in the last 24 hours, whether you ran them or Continuous Diagnostics did. |
| Warnings | Issues of any severity except Critical that were seen in the last 24 hours, including ones that are still open or were already resolved. |
| Critical issues | The same, for Critical issues. |
“What PRO did for you”
A short list of up to five of the newest events from the last 7 days:
- An issue was resolved. (The list words these as “resolved automatically”, including an issue you marked as resolved yourself.)
- A warning or a critical issue was detected.
- The latest automatic scan completed, and how many checks it ran.
- A plugin activation, deactivation or update was recorded.
What it cannot tell you
- “Active” means PRO ran, not that your checkout works. PRO can only report what it can detect. See What PRO can and cannot detect.
- It runs inside your site. If your site is down, or its background tasks stop, PRO can’t tell you so. The banner turns “delayed” the next time you open the Overview.
